Privacy statement

At Career Jumpstart, we process personal data from our candidates in order to fulfil our duties as job coaches and researchers. We do our utmost to treat your privacy and personal data with care. We would like to be clear about this.

Why does Career Jumpstart use your personal data?

If you have registered for guidance or training at Career Jumpstart, we will store the information you entered on the registration form in our administrative system APM. We use your personal data (name, address, telephone number, email address) to schedule an appointment with you or to send you training information. We need the other information (your request for assistance, study details, preferred language and how you found us) for our internal processes. For example, to match you with the right coach or to check how many candidates we currently have in coaching for a particular field of study. We use the information to produce reports for our funding providers, in which we only ever state numbers and never individual details.

If you start a coaching programme, there will be two users of your data: your coach and our researchers.

We will ask you if you would like to participate in our research. If so, our researchers will use your email address and the status of your coaching programme to send you the appropriate questionnaire. The researchers will store this information in their own system, where your answers will be anonymised.

Your coach will ask you to complete an intake form. With your consent (by signing), we will store the data from this form in our administrative system APM.

After each contact moment with your coach, the coach will write a short report. This report may contain medical data if you share this with your coach. All this data will be stored for a maximum of 7 years.

What personal data do we process?

  • nationality
  • address
  • telephone

Would you like to view, modify or delete your personal data? You have the right to do so. Please contact Antoinette Littel (a.littel@fontys.nl).

We will respond to your request by email as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks after receiving it.

Security of personal data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We use technical and organisational measures to ensure that personal data is properly secured.

To achieve this, we use our own rented hard drive space on the Google SQL Cloud data server, located in the Netherlands, which ensures that all data is stored securely.

Only users who are specifically authorised have access to personal data.

Sharing personal data

We never sell personal data to other parties. We do not disclose personal data unless required to do so by law or unless the person whose data is being processed gives their consent. As a rule, data is not disclosed upon request, not even to parents of students or partners. If we use external service providers to carry out tasks, we require them to comply with the legal framework applicable to the protection of personal data to the same extent.
